Martin knows his way around coffee roasting and we wanted his presentation to reflect that. The philosophy of his business revolves around Japanese minimalism. Though they are mostly known for their tea ceremonies, Japanese are very precise in their coffee roasting and coffee making as well. That made a great impression on Martin.
The logo design is inspired by a traditional Japanese stamp called Hanko. Typography and linear illustration was used to achieve the unique visual style. Our goal was to create a graphic design that would be minimalistic but still speak to people.
